Rick Callan's Bio

Rick Callan, Managing Broker for Everitt Commercial Partners, brings diversity to Everitt Companies with over twenty years of business operations and administrative experience.

A third generation Denverite, Rick first moved to Fort Collins in 1976 to attend Colorado State University as an undergraduate, and later relocated again in 1995 after earning a Master's in Business Administration through CSU's Denver-based Executive MBA Program while working full-time at Martin Marietta Aerospace, now known as Lockheed Martin Astronautics.

During his tenure at Martin Marietta, Rick primarily specialized in the analysis and development of new-business cost proposals ranging from $100,000 to $250 Million. Later, Rick was selected to participate in a 27-month rotational training program for high-potential business operations employees where he gained experience in program cost management and control, contract administration, and central overhead budgeting and financial reporting.

Rick returned to Fort Collins in 1995 to join former MBA classmate and friend Clayton Schwerin at Baldwin Construction, Inc. as the firm's Controller and Manager of Administration. He subsequently assisted with the planned succession and ownership change from BCI to Alliance Construction Solutions and was asked to stay on as Vice President and CFO where he was responsible for all accounting, financial and administrative activities as the company grew from $15 to $60 Million in annual sales in just three years.

"I feel that I can add value to almost any business or real estate deal with my broad-based experience and knowledge from restaurant and bar . . . to aerospace and high-tech computing . . . to construction and development . . . to retail and wholesale." he says. "Being on both sides of the table and wearing many hats, I know the true meaning of a win-win-win solution that benefits all parties involved."

Since joining the Everitt team, Rick has been involved with several real estate deals in Fort Collins including the condoization of the Solar Office Plaza, the sale lease-back of the Veeco Ion Tech building, relocating the local Army Reserve unit, and the sale of the former Alpine Fun Center property to Adams Bank & Trust for redevelopment.

Rick is a huge CSU Ram fan and booster and is a graduate of the "Leadership Fort Collins" program sponsored by the area Chamber of Commerce. He is a Rotarian and active in the Fort Collins after work club, a former board member and past chair for Partner's of Larimer County, and has served as a committee co-chair for the Fort Collins Area United Way.
